You said you were going to analyze the Asian Cup… Klinsmann left for the U.S. ahead of schedule

Fans’ disappointment has not subsided over the elimination of the semifinals of the Asian Cup, but Korean national soccer team coach Jurgen Klinsmann (Germany) left for the United States again. An Asian Cup evaluation meeting was scheduled this week, but the coach, who is in charge, is away.
According to the Korea Football Association on Wednesday, Klinsmann left for the U.S., where he resides, on the previous day. No schedule has been set for his return.

Coach Klinsmann nailed that there was no voluntary resignation even after losing to Jordan in the semifinals of the 2023 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Qatar Asian Cup. In an interview back home on the 8th, Klinsmann said, “I plan to go home next week (U.S.) and take a short break, then go to Europe to see Lee Kang-in, Son Heung-min and Kim Min-jae.”

However, Klinsmann moved to the U.S. on Tuesday due to premature departure of his team. The move came two days after he returned to Korea with the Korean team. He left the country irresponsibly when discussions were scheduled for an Asian Cup evaluation and national team management this week. It is uncertain whether Klinsmann will participate in the event after returning to Korea.

The U.S. ESPN mentioned an unknown overseas trip, shedding light on Klinsmann’s replacement theory. He pointed out that it is common to check on active players in Europe, but it is more reasonable to find unknown players rather than identify players with undeniable skills such as Son Heung-min and Lee Kang-in.

Klinsmann-ho challenged for the first win in 64 years, considered to have the best record, led by Son Heung-min, but it resulted in a disappointing result of being eliminated from the semifinals.

Criticism has also been mounting over Klinsmann’s leadership. Controversy arose even before the Asian Cup over telecommuting and going abroad, and Klinsmann claimed that the Asian Cup will be his yardstick. However, Klinsmann made it clear that he had no intention of resigning, saying that it was only a failure to qualify for the semifinals. 꽁머니지급

There has also been a petition for national consent from the National Assembly, claiming that Klinsmann should not continue to take the helm of the national team.
